Russia WWII Medal for Combat Merit With Research

Awarded to private Vyugov Andrey Filippovich, January 4th, 1943.
Born in 1903, Nationality russian. Military rank Private in 915 th Artillery Regiment of 346 th Rifle Division.
The medal is in very good condition. Constructed of solid silver. Òhe medal weighs 29 gram with the suspension but without the nut. The silver suspension is original as is the brass screw, the nut, the plate holding the ribbon and the screw plate.
This is what we find in the Russian military archives about this order:
“2nd battery scout Vyugov Andrey Filippovich was awarded with Medal for Combat Merit On January 4, 1943, reconnaissance Vuugov was instructed to scout the enemy’s target, returning he was shot at by the enemy and was forced to join the battle, as a result of which he received valuable intelligence material. He also discovered a machine gun nest, a bunker and enemy cannons on a farm B-Donshik which were destroyed by Soviet artillery fire. Comrade Vyugov was also rewarded with other rewards and medals.”
