Russian M35 WWII Panzer/Artillery Officer´s Visor Cap

695.00

Panzer or Artillery branch, Officer’s visor cap, model 35. Introduced by order of the People’s Commissar of Defense of the USSR No. 176 of December 3, 1935. The cloth body is made of green/grey colored boiled wool with a grey colored cap band. The lining of the cap is made of grey colored drill cloth. Above the visor, to the shaped brass buttons fastened a black chin strap. On the upper edge of the band and the top there is a red piping sewn in Place, denoting service in Panzer or Artillery unit. In the center of the cockade is a red star with Deep red enamel which is pinned in Place (in the correct manner).

The cap lining is stamped with manufacturer markings, the markings is rather hard to read beacuse of old grease. But we can make out: “Textil Fabric Kharkov” and “57” for the size of the cap. The cap is also year marked “1938”. Inside still has the original sweatband sewn in Place. The sweat band is made of correct type of “ersatz” leather material. The cap is in very good condition with signs of wear and age.
